About this place
The pleasure of tongue shabu-shabu lies in briefly swishing beef tongue through a special Japanese-style broth, then enjoying the flavours the hot pot leaves behind right through to the final course. One example of the tongue shabu-shabu course at Kampai Kyobashi starts with appetisers and sashimi made with seasonal fish, followed by fried young chicken and rolled omelette. For the finish, choose rice porridge or meat sushi. The porridge makes use of the broth, infused with the savoury flavours of meat and vegetables; meat sushi offers a different final bite. Course contents may change depending on the season and ingredient availability.
For a smaller taste of meat sushi, there is also a limited-quantity serving of two pieces. The two-piece beef tongue sushi comes with a choice of soy sauce or spring onion and salt sauce. Whether you are settling in for a leisurely meal around a hot pot or ordering beef tongue sushi one piece at a time with your preferred sauce, both meat sushi and tongue shabu-shabu are on offer.
